Change of plans.  Mom and I were going to go to the Stampede grounds today, but we heard the temperature was going to be killer hot, so the last thing we wanted to do was walk around in the heat on hot pavement.  Dave suggested we go for a drive out to Kananaskis in his convertible Firebird.  So that's what we did.  It was a scorcher so we all lathered on some sunscreen, put on our hats and sunglasses and off we went.  It was windy in the backseat, and I was having some trouble keeping my shirt from blowing around and showing all my goods to the passing cars, so I changed places with Lurline in the front seat.  We made it all the way down to Interlakes ... everything was so beautiful it was hard to decide what picture to use for the blog today.  If you've never been there, it's worth the trip!  This is the photo I chose - it hasn't been edited, enhanced, adjusted, and I didn't even use a polarizer filter.  All I did was add the black border. When nature is this perfect, sometimes adjustments aren't needed.
