Well, most of the post-party clean-up has been done now, so I took my computer out on the patio and created a Beginner Photoshop lesson plan. I hope to teach some continuing education courses at the college, if I can. I'm going to test it out on my mom, my aunt and our friend, Sue... if they can learn it, anybody can!
I was enjoying the weather so much, that later in the evening, I took a stroll to Sardis Park. There's always something going on there. There was a brazen turtle sitting on the grass out of the water, but by the time I got close enough to take the photo, he darted back into the water. Who said turtles are slow? Anyway, I love the way the massive willow trees hang over the water. Their roots are so twisted that I thought it made for a nice shot:
In 2011, I took a photo every day for 100 days over the summer. This is the result... All photos are copyright protected. To request a photo, please check out my website at www.liquidfog.ca.

Finally saw the sun today. Spent most of the day outside painting and working in the yard a bit. Finished painting the front shed with my mom, and it looks great. Took a quick trip to the pet store to get some gold fish for the pond. Mom and I took a quick jaunt over to Sardis Park to see if the turtles were basking in the sunshine, and we got lucky:

Will somebody please tell me why our weather has been so insufferable? I think it hit a high of 13 degrees today - rainy, cloudy and windy. Is it Fall?
Talked to my sis on Skype this morning, then went out to do some grocery shopping and mail off my broken video camera to Canon. Other than that, it's been a low key day. Not much to do when the weather won't cooperate. Mom and I took a drive up to Promontory to see all the new developments, and took this shot from the top. You can see our yard in the distance.

More rain and clouds today. Feels like Autumn. Took my Grandma Ketler to the doctor's office with my mom, then to VV for a browse around. Then ate a smorgasbord Chinese lunch, although I could've passed on that - it wasn't delicious. After dinner, took a quick stroll around Sardis Park while there was a brief glimpse of sunshine. More ducks and geese. That's it. So, that's what I've got for you today:

Wasn't sure what photo opportunity would present itself today, so waited until evening, then wandered over to Sardis Park to see the ducklings and goslings. Got some good shots of the goslings, but this duck was so colourful that I couldn't help but share it! I'll have to go back for those ducklings another day.
