Mom and I went out to get some groceries today. We wanted to head downtown to the Party in the Park. We heard they were going to have the band Chilliwack playing, so we wanted to get there early to get a good seat. When we got there just after 5pm, the mosquitoes almost sent us back home, but once we got seated on a hill near the stage, they seemed to disappear in numbers. So, we watched some great entertainment, and saw some people we knew. Apparently there were 12,000 people there, and about 70 vendors selling stuff. The weather was quite nice, so we stayed for about 3 hours, then decided to head home - right before Chilliwack came on to play. Anyway, there was some great people watching ... I took pictures of a lot of kids dancing, but this little girl in the silver sparkly dress with the yellow Crocs was endlessly entertaining. I think mom got a picture of her, as well. I didn't want to show her face to protect her identity, but here she is in all her dancing glory!
In 2011, I took a photo every day for 100 days over the summer. This is the result... All photos are copyright protected. To request a photo, please check out my website at www.liquidfog.ca.

One of my long time friends celebrated her 40th birthday party on Saturday. It was so much fun to spend time with some friends I haven't seen in close to 20 years. Had some hilarious moments with old friends and new! We danced and drank and ate ... what an incredibly fun time! Forty isn't so bad.
This is my friend, Brenda - it was her party and she looked fabulous:
